National Reconciliation Week
2023 Events
National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities.
You can also add your own event to this calendar or register your private event.
Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.

THE FIRST NATIONS FILM FESTIVAL
30 May @ 1:00 pm - 3 June @ 10:00 pm AEST
Experience the power of First Nations storytelling by joining The First Nations Film Festival 2023 (formerly VIFF – Virtual Indigenous Film Festival), a groundbreaking film festival bringing together filmmakers, artists, and community to engage in meaningful discussions, empowering all of us to #BeAVoiceForGenerations.
In 2023, First Nations Film Festival will be hosting its 6th edition, curated around the themes of Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week. The festival features award-winning features, documentaries, and short films, accessible over five days on our unique streaming platform, FanForceTV.
The theme “Be a voice for generations” is all about taking action to support and advocate for positive change that will benefit both present and future generations.
As we celebrate Reconciliation Week, let’s honour the voices of First Nations artists and filmmakers who have used their talents to inspire change and make a difference for their communities.
