National Reconciliation Week

2023 Events

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.

Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities.

You can also add your own event to this calendar or register your private event.

Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.

Science & Technology Australia – Launch of INNOVATE Reconciliation Action Plan

23 May @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm GMT

Across an awe-inspiring timespan of more than 65,000 years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have created knowledge as Australia’s first scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians. The songlines of this country are intricate scientific knowledge systems.

As the peak body for the science and technology sector, Science & Technology Australia honours this long tradition. Our vision is for a reconciled and united Australia. A nation which faces the truth of our past with honesty and courage. A nation which sees the inspiring first cultures of this land as a great source of pride for all Australians.

The event will also be an opportunity to hear more about the upcoming Voice Referendum, and how the STA membership community can get involved, in line with our statement of support.

Yes23 Campaign national campaign director and Quandamooka man Dean Parkin will share key insights with us in this session.
