National Reconciliation Week
2023 Events
National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities.
You can also add your own event to this calendar or register your private event.
Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.

Private Screening of The Last Daughter
28 May @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm AEST
Aboriginal Family Legal Services Southern Queensland is proud to sponsor a private screening of “The Last Daughter”.
The Story: Brenda’s first memories were of growing up in a loving white foster family, before she was suddenly taken away and returned to her Aboriginal family. Decades later, she feels disconnected from both halves of her life. But the traumas of her past do not lie quietly buried. So, she goes searching for the foster family with whom she had lost all contact.
Along the way she uncovers long-buried secrets, government lies, and the possibility for deeper connections to family and culture.
The Last Daughter is a documentary about Brenda’s journey to unearth the truth about her past, and to reconcile the two sides of her family.
