National Sorry Day Ceremony – Knox City Council

May 26 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm AEST

Knox City Council will observe National Sorry Day on Thursday 26 May 2022.

We recognise the grief, suffering and loss suffered by the Stolen Generations.

We will raise the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags in recognition of National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week.

The event will include:

  • a traditional Welcome to Country
  • fire lighting and smoking ceremony
  • guest speaker Rueben Berg
  • didgeridoo performance
  • dance performance by the Dungala Dancers

Knox City Council acknowledges the traditional custodians of the City of Knox, the Wurundjeri and Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation.
