2023 Events

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

 

The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.

 

Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities.

 

You can also add your own event to this calendar or register your private event.

National Reconciliation Week – Community Netball Clinic

3 June @ 10:30 am - 3:00 pm AEST

In partnership with the Queensland Government, Netball Queensland and the Queensland Firebirds are hosting a National Reconciliation Week Community Netball Clinic at Nissan Arena on Saturday, June 3 from 10.30am to 3.00pm.

The event will provide an immersive First Nations experience with a smoking ceremony, Welcome to Country, indigenous artists’ workshop, and netball clinics.

Event Timings
10.30am: Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony
11.00am: Queensland Firebirds in Action
11.40am: Queensland Firebirds Panel Discussion
12.00pm: Queensland Firebirds Signing Session
12.45pm – 3.00pm: Netball Clinics & Indigenous Artists’ Workshop

The event is open to the public, with no cap on attendance, but clinic numbers will be capped at 150 participants.
All registered participants go in the running to win one of five family passes to the Queensland Firebirds First Nations Round match against the Melbourne Vixens on Sunday, June 4.

Registration is only required for clinic participants.
