National Acknowledgment of Country: National Reconciliation Week 2022

May 27

We want you to be part of launching this year’s National Reconciliation Week by joining the national Acknowledgement of Country.

Wherever you are in Australia, you’re on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land. Acknowledging that is fundamental to reconciliation.

Wherever you are, acknowledge the land that you live, work, learn and socialise on.

Write or record your Acknowledgement and post it to social media at 12pm AEST on Friday May 27 using the hashtags #NRW2022 and #BeBraveMakeChange

Know whose Country you are on – resources like the AIATSIS Map of Indigenous Australia are a good place to start:

Reconciliation Australia acknowledges and pays respect to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples should be aware that this website contains images or names of people who have passed away.
