Kindness isn’t weakness. Restorative approaches for just relations workshop.

We are fortunate to have an external facilitator, Rho Sandberg, who has generously volunteered her time to help us explore the idea that ‘Kindness isn’t weakness’ in the context of how we live and work together as a restorative community in Canberra. Discussions that may arise include:

  • How can we recognize and ‘see each other’ in our positions of personal and professional activity in our community?
  • What are the shared values that will help us work together with integrity?
  • How can we ensure that our relationships with each other are just and principled?
  • How can we be stronger and kinder as individuals and more connected as a community?

Rho Sandberg is an ADR practitioner who supported the introduction of restorative practice in pilot and subsequent iterations of the Defence Abuse Response Taskforce. Her practice is informed by her early careers in the fields of neuroscience and
