National Reconciliation Week

2023 Events

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

 

The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.

 

Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities.

 

You can also add your own event to this calendar or register your private event.

Free Pop Up Cinema Night – Alice Springs Town Council

For National Reconciliation Week, Alice Springs Town Council is holding a Free Pop Up Cinema evening!

Thursday 1 June, 5:30 to 8:00 pm on the Alice Springs Town Council Lawns.

Rug up and join us for a full evening featuring:
– Smoking ceremony by Central/ Eastern Arrernte Kin
– Performance from members of the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir
– Screening of the Choir’s documentary ‘The Song Keepers’

Free entry & a free hot beverage included from the Twisted Teaspoon!

Join us on the Council Lawns from 5.30 pm | No bookings required.
