National Reconciliation Week

2023 Events

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

 

The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.

 

Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities.

 

You can also add your own event to this calendar or register your private event.

Cultural Conversations

Elder Dennis Jetta OAM will be presenting Cultural Conversations
Date: Tuesday 30 May 2023
Time: 11am to 3pm
Location: Leschenault Leisure Centre, Leisure Drive, Australind 6230, WA .

Cultural Conversations will:
– Enable a more holistic understanding of different cultural views to those considered normal.
– Challenge and encourage participants to view society from a First ations point of view.
– Enable individuals and organisations to more effectively communicate and understand Aboriginal peoples.

The presentation will include Aboriginal history, foods and information to build the cultural capacity of individuals, organisations and businesses.

Afternoon tea will be provided.
