National Reconciliation Week

2023 Events

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.

Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities.

You can also add your own event to this calendar or register your private event.

Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.

A Night with David Arden

29 May @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm AEST

To celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2023 Monash Council are excited to present A Night with David Arden.

Throughout his career, David has used his voice as a performer to tell many First Nations stories and to share his experiences as a proud Gunditjmara and Kokatha man.

David will share this with new generations through his 2023 album, Meetra – The Ballad of James Arden, exploring the story of his great grandfather, a keeper of tribal knowledge of the Gunditjmara peoples.

Over the last 40 years, David has worked with many acclaimed Australian artists, including First Nation artists such as Hard Time Band, Archie Roach and the Altogether Band.
